session please namaste everyone and especially I'm grateful to Dr duta for collaborating with heartfulness to carry on with this program to further the interests of our youth building the nation holistic approach means not only the education that we provide in the field we belong to but also connect with all other courses that will embellish that will strengthen our knowledge for example it's not just yoga that drives you into a state of peace but also the modern technologies like artificial intelligence every person studying here must be exposed to artificial intelligence because that is the name of the game for the future if you don't learn AI today you'll be left behind it's already has it has advanced so much we are already left behind so no point waiting for creating courses start wherever you can so that you are not left behind in fact this morning I was talking with one of the radiologists here Dr agarwal they have a hospital i say incorporate AI because sometimes we as human tend to make errors but once this foolproof AI is installed of course nothing is foolproof but it will be able to reduce numbers of our mistakes so AI is not only for physicians it's very good for educators also lecturers today they teach something from the books which were printed who knows a decade back but if you tap into chat GPT or one of those AI sites or even simple things like YouTube it will further your knowledge and once you have enough knowledge you will be able to teach to your students and justify your role as respected professor otherwise you'll be left behind like memories of such and such a professor who taught me who knew nothing you don't want to come in that list you want to be known as someone who made a difference in students life that is our responsibility as educators that is our dharma when Krishna talks of performing your dharma your karma it only means fulfilling your duties are we fulfilling our duty as professionals and now as individuals individually what is my dharma i'm not talking of our religions but my duty towards myself what is my duty towards myself our sastras they talk of mti moa preparing yourself to have entrance into heavens or vikuntum jut heavens what notfulness we believe that the future is here and now if I cannot experience the ultimate state of consciousness chetana here and now forget the future if you cannot experience here there is no future for you to experience take it for granted it's like those who withdraw salaries here and now would you accept that your salary in next life it's not possible what will you do with it similarly our spiritual wealth I must be able to appreciate it i must be able to feel perceive that transcendental state of consciousness people talk about this hall if I'm not mistaken the name is given in respect of Swami Vakanando right and what was his message his message was very simple he was a man of simplification he simplified the goal of life he says goal of life for us is to make sure that during this lifetime God has given to us we make our consciousness evolve from whatever is available now to a higher level make it broadband those days there was no broadband the way we talk today but he was able to comprehend what broadbindedness or broad band of consciousness is all about he would give an example that think of your available consciousness as a thin layer of water your present consciousness he compared it with the thin layer of water maybe 2 mm maybe 3 mm above which lies two giant oceans one above and one below imagine one Pacific Ocean above you and one Atlantic Ocean below above you and you are sandwiched between these two giant oceans imagine the level of consciousness we carry it's nothing he says through meditation allow your available consciousness to fly high in the sky of superconsciousness and through cleaning process continuous cleaning of yourself removing unnecessary suncars and dive deep into the ocean of subconsciousness so thus you can develop your broadband see there is no point for me to go on talking because talking is adnauseium but I'll straight without wasting much of your time we'll go into what dhan means what is meditation and experience learn how to meditate the second process I talked to you about how to do the cleaning of the samscars that you go on gathering these sansscars are the seeds for the future if I don't exhaust my sansscaras now if I don't get rid of all the seeds which otherwise would manifest as future lives will have to be reincarnated to fulfill or undergo the boa of those sanscars if you have good sunscars you have good life if you have bad sunscars you have you know the life according to your sunscars moa or mti is precisely where one arrives at a zero samscars but while leading our life here we go on multiplying at an exponential rate and especially present day circumstances are such willy nearly you will go on gathering sunscars once you learn this technique under heartfulness you'll be able to reduce your load of sanscars and you'll be able to perceive that yes I can experience the absence of the things which were present once before that was limiting my understanding and limiting my consciousness dan From this campus I will arrive how many of you meditate around how many of you understand the purpose of meditation meditation in English dictionaries is defined as to focus your mind on one object which is very bad badly translated into English from the original word dhan all Sanskrit words are synthesis that's sundi based when you split this word dan into two it is the plus yan the meaning ultimate wisdom the final frontier you would come across this word letter the in gatri mantra twice we recite but we don't understand the meaning we are invoking the grace of mother to help us have an access into that wisdom ultimate wisdom but how would you just by reciting mantra arrive at wisdom keep repeating only so your foolishness one must find the ways and means to attain that likewise when you say I'm Brahma and you keep repeating would you become Brahma would you realize Brahma never likewise sir Sat anand reminding yourself that you are satitan repeating them is never going to help you these are all passwords passed down from generation to generations if you can decipher these verses these locas then they serve the purpose when you say I'm braas means know your nature as Brahma and what is that Brahma and how would you arrive at it so we have to find the vision and means not keep repeating that what it's sit anan when you decipher this it only means when you arrive at the truth chit your consciousness become so refined that you begin to enjoy that anand bliss there is a lot of it has given us the way a formula like what we have formula by Einstein E is equal to MC² now if you go on rem repeating this would you understand theory of relativity you can't just by repeating E is equal to MC² maybe the future generation will do it once new civilization will begin from this bones genesis of present civilizations we have also lost the touch of reality the real fragrance of our ancient literature we are so proud but how many of you have veedas in your home and gas in your homes even though you may have them have you read them all have you understood them have you digested them what is the point of being a proud Hindu does it matter what you are called afterward belief that God is there is not enough through dyan you begin to experience that ultimate wisdom the the plus yan yan means vehicle in Sanskrit so dan is a vehicle that transports us to ultimate wisdom so that's a process for any vehicle to be transported for it to move you need energy input for consciousness to fly high into superconsciousness or for consciousness to dive deeper in your subconsciousness you need some energy input kenopisha talks about what that energy input is all about they give the example just as you know we have five seats meaning five koshas number one outer kosha is anamaya kosha stool sir when you go deeper you come across three more seats pranamay man and vigan kosha which are enriched through interaction learn from elders learn in universities we contemplate so anamaya kosha the first one is enriched by food balanced diet manaya bey koshas are enriched by what I just told you inner contemplation how would you enrich how would you nourish your soul that's where prania prana comes into the picture one that feeds your prana so a yogi of caliber who can tap into the source extract that prana and inject it into our hearts through yogicalpa now should you leave this hall with just a belief no belief has to be backed by experience when we do the science scientific research we begin with lot of skepticism lot of doubts lot of dissection lot of ideas from all angles and when all those angles are satisfied beyond doubts then you say I'm only hypothesizing it and then once it's proven time and again it becomes a theory likewise my initial experience of meditating with pranauti with this pran see if it can transport your consciousness to a different level and make you feel a bit different than before you started meditation then you can say yes I can feel the difference postmeditation then your belief will go on increasing day by day as we meditate more and more every single day the practice has to be done every single day otherwise it's of no use to you or to anyone repetition is the law of nature unless we repeat it does not become our habit it does not become our nature just as they say A kind of attitude we have to create in ourselves that maintains this prai day after day and it has to be a joyful phenomena you are all faculty members and students imagine students and ourselves also when we learned things unless you have joy in learning it becomes a burden so likewise are you able to build that joy in yourself towards divinity if it remains hollow if it remains a mere ritual then it's best not to increase more impressions more samscars in yourself but most of us we worship gods and goddesses without knowing why of course we all know why we do all that on but very superficially if I do this maybe some of my wishes will be fulfilled if I do this my family will be happy things like that if I so many things if I don't do it then the fear sets in so it's not just Hinduism but almost all religions today they're infested with these two diseases you know the effects of diseases you know you are veterinarians i'll tell you a joke before I finish this two disease one of the disease is temptation for heaven and second disease is fear fear of hell these two instruments are very nicely used by Hinduism and all other religions to trap people in their own fold rituals thus thrive you'll see some of the powerpoints you have not okay but I wanted to share with you I had extracted more than 250 slokas from Vedas and various Gas well it shares the importance of the meditation on the heart for example 10th chapter of Gita Bhagat Gita you can write down if you like and adhy 10th sloka number 20 also 11 and many left and right they have praised heart krishna says I'm in everyone's heart vedas talk about the nature of God one who dwells within means heart i am means nasty hara see so they have given us the address already through our sages experiences but we choose unfortunately the wrong direction we keep seeking in the wrong direction we keep moving in the wrong directions how can you experience and without experiencing spirituality you can never find transformation from within and that's the call that's a call of religion that should be the call of religion rather not being satisfied with throwing some water throwing some prasadam and flowers you're fooling yourself throw your ego out then it will be better now we'll gently move into dan so if you are all ready gently keep your eyes closed have your attention towards the heart think that the divine presence is already there in my heart in the form of light divine light think also that this presence is inviting attracting my attention inward be receptive to pranai the transmission I just mentioned to you welcome it be one with it if thoughts do come just remind yourself that I am meditating at the moment so let's meditate like this for another 20 minutes or so thank you DJI the energy in this auditorium today is truly special and the aura is quite different i believe this session has sparked an interest in the practice of meditation amongst all present here daji's of firm believe in mentoring the youth through the self-development tools and in this context he has kindly given his consent to interact and engage with the students of IBRI through a question and answer session may I request students to please put forth their queries if any student wish to ask any question they may please stand and ask their question please before [Music] you prepare yourself for questions and before I forget my special thanks especially to Dr through to offer a classroom so that you all can learn how to meditate you can ask the trainers with your day-to-day questions you can learn our ancient practices related to yoga how to make life better and many many things that you will be able to learn the joke I wanted to share with you once I was in Delhi and he was general of the army a physician [Music] very high post he said he used to see the patients day in and day out day out one day he saw one person who came and very argumentative the patient asked the doctor "Sir help me." The doctor asked "What should I help you with what is your problem?" He said "I came to you to find out what my problem is what sort of a doctor are you why don't you check and find out what's wrong with me?" Then he says very humbly and very gently I send him away because I couldn't I told him go in front there is a veterinarian doctor he treats patients without asking questions see [Applause] So now we may please take up the queries from student side if you have any queries please stand at your place or raise your hand and you can ask your question please let me ask you a question then see soon you'll get married no students he'll have children hope so don't delay too much though you must have done experiments with animals what is the maturity of male various animal for example dog After what age the sperm counts lowers or becomes important or mutate what age likewise all the bulls for example camel goat sheep what is that critical period after which the sperm as well as the female specy lose the ability to produce healthy animals everyone has a critical time so do we don't delay too much get going with children and if you are willing you can get married now also while you are attending college i really mean it you see many of these professors they must be dreaming of sat starting yoga practice they must be thinking "Oh I will do it after I am retired." Think for a moment why am I selling this once they retire they'll have problem walking bending their feet and sitting properly they cannot even sit erect and even if there is a genetic transfer do you think they will be able to transfer that genetic makeup to the next generation they're too old anyway they cannot it will look very shameful to even think about man of 70 producing children or a woman it's unimaginable even if they become spiritual that benefit will only be restricted to themselves for contra if you become spiritual very early in your age even before marriage you will be able to transfer your genetic makeup to the next generation there will not be weaker progeni built on just on this principle i hope some of you will get inspired to take a spiritual life and also get married early anyone with any question now okay good now there are few questions good yeah thank you sir wonderful session uh sir when we actually focus on meditation as as actually I feel uh I mean my brain says I mean you need to focus on be and light but one goes I mean somewhere else how to focus on that it's okay through practice only you'll be able to zoom into yourself it's the training little by little but if you noticed one thing your awareness before meditation and your awareness after meditation do you find any difference not much not much but how much there is still some difference you will feel lighter you will feel more peaceful and calm okay so during the process let things happen whatever it has to happen otherwise the stored thoughts feelings unless they surface on your superficial mind they remain buried we need to allow them to purge let them purge so we don't try to fight with thoughts we just remind ourselves that I'm meditating on the divine presence in my heart so let thoughts come and go treat them like uninvited guests and bring your attention very gently back to your heart so when you do this day in and day out in fact to really properly get initiated into this heartfulness way of meditation we need three sessions back to back one by one so if you all can you don't have to go to anybody I'll send someone here and meanwhile we establish some sort of mechanism for daily meditation here you can download one app it's called heartfulness meditation app and follow the process you can meditate at home whenever you want you can also get initiated into the system via this app you can download it there are no fees nothing whatsoever a very good evening Daji good evening and everyone here first of all I would like to uh thank you for being here and uh be the blessing for all of us um so I have a a little question to you that uh earlier when you were explaining like what is meditation and what is dhan uh you said like that the is the uh the ultimate wisdom and we are using some sort of vehicle to get that ultimate wisdom but I I was quite wondering that uh what that actually mean by that ultimate wisdom because I could not inter interpret that what does it mean by ultimate wisdom i don't understand that okay thank you so very lovely question the means ultimate wisdom yan means the vehicle pranasha prana it is the one that supports this vehicle to arrive at this ultimate wisdom you see we have all kinds of knowledge system in this world while we interact in this world there is infinitum but when we do arrive at ultimate wisdom you have answers for everything you have solutions for every problem in life your own life the peace that you would find within yourself when you arrive at that state will not be contradictory it will not contradict itself nor your peace or joy will depend on something else outside you so these are the indirect ways of mentioning that ultimate state of wisdom if you look at it differently when you talk of consciousness and its evolution and when you dissect this consciousness what supports this consciousness there are three elements one is thinking second is intelligence or buddhi and third is a hankar these three things affect consciousness we know the role of a hankar if we are more arrogant you cannot learn anything if your professor teaches you something and you say "Sir I know it." When you really don't know it what would you learn that's why children are able to learn faster than adults especially languages now when you are saying evolution of consciousness that means what happens to this thinking and your buddhi and your aanka when this evolves what happens to the functions of all these things like thinking thinking mind what becomes of it as it evolves it feels more thinking to feeling likewise my intelligence means I dissect things from all angles there's a difference between intellect intelligence intuition wisdom it's a incremental step wisdom is where you don't need to think nor intellectualize the answer pops just like that without any dissection so that's what sages talk about wisdom that knowing which everything becomes unpuzzled in front of you okay i think there are no more questions sir [Music] study meditation her stage her step in life we don't need guidance from outside you will know your own answers possible more If a girl decides to do that and starts loving everybody so meditation is not for that meditation the wisdom comes along with your discriminative faculty your discernment time action insult should I react right away or wait for the right moment i cannot give you that answer because that person may not be there again so we every moment decides that see there is no one formula having which you know all the decisions that's what the gentleman was asking what is this wisdom so awakening of the heart not the kini Namaste d u m your question key what is the difference between meditating religiously and meditating spiritually and also can an individual be religious as well as spiritual at the same time thank you religion and spirituality are misunderstood and considered as synonymous if you understand what religion means religion means dogmas belief systems rituals holy scriptures religion says God is outside god is everywhere most religion they keep God outside hindus keep them in temples or inside the house but in one corner especially northeast corner they keep Muslim they keep it westward spirituality says and our sanana dharma says God is within that's why the name is given one who dwells within and where will it stay only in your heart so experiencing the presence of divinity in your heart is spirituality religion maintains this status god is always outside another thing dogmas and belief they may be good in the beginning but if you die with such belief and dogmas you are no better you have not changed let me give you an example you believe in God that he knows everything he is everywhere but once you begin to feel the presence everywhere that is spirituality knowing and feeling the knowing is god religion feelings experiencing perception is spirituality does my journey end with spirituality no there is something bigger we have to transcend even this idea of feelings for example I feel the presence of divinity for a month or a year is it enough for example if someone invites you very rich friend of yours and entertains you with his generosity for 6 months on a private island where you are totally spoiled with his hospitality you say "Wow this is great i'm enjoying this rich hospitality." But deep down in your heart what would you be thinking i wish I was also as rich so hospitality rich hospitality may be great but to become rich is another matter divine experiences are great but to become divine is also a different matter altogether so we may begin with belief in God give it a foundation of experience and in return we begin to become what we have experienced but my experience shows that even becoming that divinity is also too much it's also a burden you have to let go of that also so this is the journey from mere belief to experience to becoming and finally letting it go so I have shared with you four five different steps of our evolution you have understood huh no I'm sorry yes sir I've understood but uh there is yet another doubt I have in mind um whether spirituality just like you said spirituality is something above religion so are you saying that it is better to be spiritual definitely definitely see a spiritual man does not become non-religious he becomes in fact better religious because it's not just believing he's experiencing religion means I believe in God spirituality means I though I believe now I'm experiencing you see the very very soft and subtle difference i got the gist of it thank you thank you thank you you keep practicing and you will experience and you will be able to see religion is only external you see you must be woriing so many deities so many gods and goddesses um not so many but yes I follow Shiva and who else just Shiva now when you imagine Lord Shiva what comes to your mind um for me it's sanity it anchors me and it gives me hope the entire like reason I worship I I'm religious or I'm spiritual is just that it provides me hope yes it's good hope to survive just a day hope to live just a day to survive is not the correct word it's beautiful your dependency is good depending on some deity is good because by depending you want to make sure life goes well with full of sanity and happiness now when you as a from my early childhood I was also a worshipper of Lord Shiva my village is just by Darba river so it's all about Shiva baktas walking from where it began to where it ends the paricramma used to go on lot of Shiva Bakta used to travel and I'm familiar with Shiva Bi Lord Shiva whenever you see the photograph we we see him meditating on Kailash now do you think further than just looking at it upon whom is he meditating why is he meditating why where is the need for him to meditate similarly when you see Lord Krishna in Mahabharat just before Mahabharat world began as a child when I used to refer to Mahabharat you know it used we used to have a big thick book i was child like these children i would flip the pages and only watch the pictures the picture was of Lord Krishna in meditation just before the war began when you see Ramayana also what was the past time for Lord Rama and Mother Sitha and Laxman in the forest meditate even aar purush meditated when we end up in external worship we remain short of our potentials fulfillment we remain superficially satisfied that I have done my job but imagine once you begin to feel the presence of Shiva within you where you are absolutely engulfed by his presence where you are no more but only Shiva is left in you so that's what I'm trying to share with you that you become whom you love and only process is meditation otherwise you become you remain as you are and he remains where he is there is separation between you as a lover and him as beloved shiva and Parvati they have never come together that means there has to be a union at a subtle level my being my soul must merge in him and if I put it very simply it is like raindrops falling in the ocean and each drop becoming the ocean now instead of the water raining if there's oil pouring on the ocean will they merge so for me to merge with Shiva I have to embibe those qualities that will match with his frequency so I become him he becomes me and then there is union so try meditation it will it doesn't matter what you worship our worship is only limited by our own ideas and our own knowledge afterward you will see oh what is this Krishna what is this Shiva and what is this da they're all same i see them separate i see them different because of the indoctrination that I have been given but when you experience them as no different but the same entity same Brahma and also when you see inside yourself I too am the same so that is the culmination the ultimate wisdom thank you so much Di thank you ma okay with this we'll end it now thank you thank thank you DI for the enlightening and immense satisfying interactive session now with your permission I would quickly like to propose a vote of thanks uh on behalf of ICR IVR I feel deeply honored and privileged to extend a heartfelt board of thanks for today's enriching meditation session led by Daji the global guide of the heartfulness sir your presence and guidance have been truly
