I get two primary questions when it comes to manufacturing execution systems number one what is mes and number two should I buy or should I build and in ninety percent of the cases the answer is you buy an iot platform off the shelf and then you build your manufacturing execution system with it this is why we did the core mes boot camp it's why we're doing the advanced mes boot camp in this in this in the first quarter here the reason why you have to build and in our experience we I've we've done both we've done off the shelf and we've done lots of builds and the answer is if you what you want to get real value real reflection of the reality on the platform you got to build it why because you didn't you didn't develop your manufacturing operation off the shelf you didn't buy it off the shelf what you did was you took process Engineers you took controls Engineers you took managers you took continuous continuous Improvement black belts and what you did was you created your own manufacturing operation and you're going to have to do the same thing with your mes system
