Transcript of DeGoogled Privacy Phone Options and Where to Buy Them

welcome again to the degoogle live so my friend asked me a question not too long ago he says hey dude I'm wondering about a new phone but something like yours that doesn't track so I reply yeah I can send you a few links where you can get some are you currently on Android or iOS I mean that's a big uh question that a lot of people ask is it possible to do it on either one or the other so if you're actually wondering what privacy phone options are out there this is the video for you to watch I do these videos because I talk to people about this stuff all the time so in order to just scale the operations I'm like hey check out this link of a video I made and I explain stuff and then let me know if you want to talk more but I know there are many people out there that are also falling into this Rabbit Hole of privacy in terms of what big tech companies are doing um governments are doing in order to spy on us so to make it easier on everybody I make this accessible to many people just be aware YouTube is only a of the rumble Channel although YouTube is getting a lot more followers obviously that's the main platform that people go and search for information but Rumble is the main Channel if YouTube ever shuts me down even though there was an executive order for making Free Speech legal again I can't believe in America we have to actually say that explicitly but if YouTube ever shuts me down shuts this channel down you can always hop out on Rumble U we also have a telegram Channel where I often share relevant links about phones about what privacy respecting companies are well um and again big Tech platforms are no longer trusted with our data and if you've been wanting to migrate from Big Tech platforms definitely a mobile device is a great place to start so welcome to the degoogle live where I try to make privacy understandable for the common folk where I try to guide you through the steps you need to take in order to free yourself from the shackles of big Tech from product reviews terms of service step-by-step tutorials on how to use certain products migrate from certain products give you informed choices to take control of your digital online privacy so let's begin uh there are a lot of privacy phone options so I'm going to first read this whole conversation that I had with my friend in in the first place some of the things that I answered him are very needed for you to think about before you actually dive into this whole privacy stuff so I told them if you're trying to move from a privacy phone that doesn't track just get prepared to not have everything always work on your phone as you would do with the main players AT&T Verizon all this stuff I mean these are big companies with big billion dollar backings um and they can iron out all the details of their products very very well uh it's very small niche market still therefore there's not much tech support very little tech support and this is because a lot of these companies are still very very small some maybe Onan operation I don't know uh but yet observing the space over the past four years or so I I've noticed that there is an increase in the demand of privacy phones products in the Privacy space so as the demand increases I've also been noticing that the support is also increasing that companies are uh offering better support uh just in case their products break or mess up or something and I can tell you more about that if you've been an iPhone user oh man expect to hop on the Android ecosystem as all privacy o systems are based on the Android open- source project framework which these privacy developers use to build their OS systems on top of uh it's not possible to do that with iOS or iPhone because iOS is not open source and most likely will never will be open sourced as Apple likes to keep their code uh private so you'll be pretty much using Android when you switch to a privacy phone so the main thing that makes a privacy phone a privacy phone is that Google Play services are not installed you won't be getting your apps from the Play store and on the Play Store every app has tracking pretty much built into it with a Google analytics or Firebase and maybe much other stuff that I don't even know about but these things are built into the apps and the apps are always talking to Google that way you don't sign into iCloud or Google obviously on the Privacy phone if you do it it beats the whole purpose of a privacy phone because once you're actually signed in then you're trackable um there are ways to get Gmail to forward to Telegram on a privacy phone it's possible to reply out of telegram and Gmail uh it's not too user friendly but it's possible uh I use it sometimes but it's a way just for me to actually still see on my now junk Gmail address what comes in that's still may be relevant that I haven't migrated over uh I'll do another video on that so most of your apps like I mentioned won't be downloaded from the uh app store or the Play Store in this case Google Play Store but they'll be downloaded from open source stores the major one is fdroid but again most of those apps are written apps by Enthusiast or some lowkey developers uh and things are not as polished as your main app store apps that you get from the App application depositories but there's still a lot of essential well-developed apps by big developer Brands it is possible to get General apps from the Google Play Store client me it's called Aurora store it's basically the exact same apps that you find on Google Play Store but you don't have to be logged into Google Play account in order to download them you log in anonymously so on a privacy phone those apps think they're talking to Google but they're actually being routed by the Privacy phone to a Google spoofer called micr G and therefore Google never sees the true identity of a person it's just a random Anonymous user that is no value to Google because they can't really collect any data on you so I've managed to get used to some of the the limitations and have gotten the essential apps that I use on a day-to-day basis and it it doesn't feel like I'm I'm a caveman doing so right it's still like userfriendly stuff that uh still gives me a great equivalent of big tech apps that we're so used to and love so dearly so I can tell you more about what various apps you can download as Replacements I have done a video for that entry level cost to the Google your life in 2025 and over there I provide a list of the essential apps that are Replacements of the Google products so let's go through the list of phone developers and the Privacy OS that I can recommend and I've been watching over the years uh first one is lineage OS lineage OS a very cool project these are the same people when the Google HTC dream the Google G1 the first Android phone with the flip up screen oh I loved it loved it to death I wish they still would be able to work um but what happened as a result of it once root access was given to developers there is a group that popped up called Cyanogen now Cyanogen they were killing it they were absolutely killing it because they were adding features into Android for there's Android the starting from the cupcake version that weren't even available in the regular Androids um obviously Google didn't like that but they influenced Google to actually include some of the features within official Google Android releases that were included in the cyan agent mods um over the years there are some internal disagreements in the company and they wanted to make profit on it other other people didn't um and later on they got uh rebranded into lineage OS so the sequencing of lineage OS versions uh continued on from Cyanogen I think they stopped on version like 1214 or something like that and um from then on every lineage OS release then continue the number sequence um that uh started from Cyanogen but linear Jos again they uh they are a OS development which means that you go ahead and you install their OS on your system um it has all the basic photo camera browsers all that kind of calculator all all those apps but um what you do is you find your device and if you have you know any of these devices you can go ahead and install lineage OS on it one thing that I did not like about lineage o now this is the lineage o that Rob bra bra me braxman gave me on my um first D Google device um lineage os does do the kind of the internal version updates so if you have like 18.1 18.2 18.3 it kind of does that it sometimes jumps to the next one 19 or whatever but I came to a point where it wouldn't be it wasn't able to update to the next you know bigger version and I had to do it manually I just didn't have enough brain or willpower and time to actually wanted to figure it out so I've never updated that phone and just bought the next thing which is the bra 2 all right it has its own bra OS system on it obviously the next thing that I'm going to mention is the Brax me phones now bra me is a very interesting character he has a Blog which he hasn't updated in a long time but he does have a store so inside uh the store you can check out all their services that he offers now we'll scroll down all the way to the bottom The Bra 3 phone coming out check out the Indiegogo campaign I did a whole video about it uh reviewing the Indiegogo campaign not the phone a lot of people complain hey you don't even show the phone bro the phone is even released yet I reviewed what they said on Indiegogo campaign and provid a live commentary but Bra 3 is coming out um he also have de GED uh phones uh pixels and um you can also send him your own I guess he doesn't have that service anymore build your own device send your own device whatever but that's the one place uh you can get the Google phones they tend to be more on an expensive side but just the general of these phones there that's how much they cost um what I want you to do is also check out Rob brm's YouTube channel I mean I've gleaned so much information from him I'll do a whole video about all the people I've gleaned from that are way better than me and I think that you should check them out too um but a lot of good content on what it is to live a life of Internet anonymity and privacy next thing on the list graphine OS so a lot of people in the chats have been saying oh just get graphine OS I've been hearing a lot about it very legit developers from what I hear automatic updates you don't have to fiddle with it they give you installation instructions and how to install it on your phones they only work with pixel phones and as you can see the only phones that they support are Google pixel phones so this guy is a very big player in the Privacy phone world and you should definitely not ignore them if you're considering a privacy phone option uh the next thing on the list is e Foundation they've been around for a very long time you can install their operating system and they have a whole list of supported phones uh once you click download here you can see all the supported devices so you can look what phone you have and if you're a phone that you currently have if you have root access to it you can go ahead and slap on a e foundations uh OS on it EOS uh the next phone I want to show you is encrypted OS now encrypted OS I don't know too much about them apart from the fact that they're somewhere in UK or Europe based but I like to see what others are doing and unsure about their pricing plans they have this like Silent Circle minutes as well they give you these uh options what are these minutes uh Silent Circle minutes I don't I guess it's like a SIM card that's you're based SIM card that's also private that they don't know the customers's information I don't know but hey if you're in Europe check it out let me know if that works out for you I would love to hear more about it the next phone on it is someone I've been really having my eye on is unplugged it's created by Eric Prince the former founder owner of Blackwater private military contractors both James O'Keefe and Tucker Carlson uh know that guy they've did interviews with him and they have promoted his product on their platforms now this guy their phones are legit one of the most priciest phones uh out there but what's really cool about their phones is that they have like literal kill switches of uh the the phone sensors they have like some sort of a feature where literally like you hold a button or do something and then all the information gets wiped out instantly like a very cool like Jason Bourne kind of business um but yeah they're on more on an expensive side on all the Privacy phone options but man if I can get a hold of one cool like I would love to play around with it a very uh cool looking phone um apparently those cameras are like equivalent to the iPhone cameras if not the same ones yeah the the guys uh know the Privacy business very well and they created a company that operates out of creit no uh Cyprus I think they yeah I think they operate out of Cypress um what is this little island Cyprus yeah but regardless of that like hey that's another cool company um they ship their stuff in the US and I believe if you go James or ke's plugs for it you can get some sort of a discount the next ones I want to show you is a private phon shop.com now private phone shop uh it's another alternative store where you can buy phones from various private with various private operating systems yeah some that I mentioned above previously um like lineage OS um and uh CX they do a lot cxos stuff but they have some of the best options from what I gather the information I gather this guy literally sources the phones himself installs the Privacy operating systems on it and then sells it I think they're some of the best prices like I said he has really cool and informative like very time worthy informative newsletters so when you sign up on his uh store um he sends very cool emails obviously all emails conclude okay then you can buy this product for me but like apart from not buying product and not a sales pitch he actually has very cool information that he provides for those who are always wanting to learn more about the Privacy space and another one that really have like really like ears open is a buff phone let's go into their phones again pixel pixel pixel here are all the pixel models that obviously they sell again on a pricier side but these are like some of the newest pixels you can buy one thing about this company that really has my attention is that they have have their own privacy laptops Linux based laptops and um if you're looking not only for a mobile phone that's private also this is a great place to start if you don't want to deal with installing your own Linux and your own computer figure now which is hey here's a company that does it for you and boom buy their stuff and be happy about it uh interesting thing that they have is they also have a suite of products now the suite of products offers you some sort of a chat tool on all texting uh VPS and DNS VPN and DNS um which is very cool make sure that internet traffic is private and secure a private email interesting what this video confering tool is um he has its own search and knowledge support and this is very cool like to have 247 email and chat support that's very very cool and I think like a lot of these companies should step up their game in in doing so but let me tell you something about braxman man when when what bra 2 right they deployed a uh update on it and and this update literally like killed the phone somehow erased the IMEI number on it and literally like it did something where the phone was no longer recognizable by the networks this dude like based I mean this dude stepped it up Hey listen anyone whose phones don't no longer work is because the upgrade that was deployed in Europe worked in Europe it didn't work for the us-based phones so that's why your phone is not messed up send me your phones I'll send you a new one like this is I mean I'm sure it took a big hit and took a big loss in terms of like send sending people new phones but talking about like uh customer support Hey listen I got you like it's a big mess up we don't know how we missed it um but I'll send you a new phone then something something else later happened where the update um didn't work uh again he said like send me the phone for a small fee like I'll I'll I'll fix it for you I know these things are tedious we want everything to work in a perfect world but again these are very small companies uh they're doing their best just to stay alive um and they have a big Behemoth to fight against you know a big Goliath to fight against in order to break into this industry and offer people a privacy solution in in comparison to all the big Tech tracking phones so um along with that like these guys offer technical support Rock bra me they have a great techn technical support and I'm and I'm very excited to see what their um Bra 3 will be about with IOD I IOD o I don't know how do you pronounce it another one to check out this one is a Europe based is uh vone or voone I don't know how to pronounce it but they seems like they're based out of Germany let's change it to English no let's yes I want English to understand German um so very cool company they understand the Privacy space and um if you're in Europe definitely this is a phone that you want to check out one thing that's really cool about them is that this phone actually has a dual or multiple boot options so you can literally create different instances of different operating systems on here so you got vola vola OS ubun to touch Salish never heard of it the jordian um and just experiment on a single phone experiment experiment various uh mobile privacy operation systems and I think that is very legit Rob Brax me might be doing it on the bra 3 phones but I think they're doing it either or um one thing that really strikes my attention about this company from Germany is that they offered that on the phone their phones look really really clean too I like that kind of the bumper outer casing um I feel I feel like those are really sick um so yeah you can check out their store inside their store they have um this phone for sale and I think this one was 500 some Euro yep yep or I don't know begins at 523 523 um cool phone check it out another one that uh I came across my later is murena they have that looks like with the E Foundation uh operating system on it but again they have a whole bunch of phones that you can shop and check out kind of their options that um they offer now they have pixels and they have their own Fair phone which which are I don't know which brand or company makes them it could be like a gry market phone but Hey listen this phone looks really cool and it's somewhat affordable at500 another I guess Europe based company so a few other store options that I came across recently um one of them is deg google.com and it's deg Googled with a little Dash in between there uh they have some tablets they have some deog phones graphing OS CX or lineage Os or E Foundation um you choose what kind of um operating system that you want on your phone uh another one that I found is um degoogle direct.com uh they have some phones too you know you can see all their phones their prices uh some of these are old pixel 4 phones uh they're on a cheaper side because uh something about the hardware that there won no longer be supported and even though you're installing privacy operating system on it uh it might not last you for too long before uh it's not upgradeable anymore so that's why some of the stuff is cheaper but I had a Google pixel for it you know it was cool I liked it another uh place is uh Freedom tech.com auu this is Australia based if you're in Australia you might want to check out uh some of their uh phones that they have right there um again the Google pixels the Google pixels and more degoogle pixels as that's a phone that's very easy to degoogle another one that's UK based is um liberate your tech.com yeah they have some D Google phones I think once we see the prices on it they'll be in pounds read more yeah they're in pounds so check out the stuff one of the ones that I really want to check out is this King Kong Pro dude what is King Kong it's a King Kong beefy like can start a war with this kind of phone okay okay maybe it's the case that it comes in or if this the shell that it comes in whatever like I don't know but the phone looks crazy uh I think that's on the cheap side I don't know what the pound conversion is but they're currently out of stock so you want to check check up with them uh what they're doing a Canada based one Canada free.com too and if you're in Canada I know some of the viewers on this channel are from Canada so you can check out what they have um in their phone stores Canadian dollars pixels pixels pixels all Canadian dollars so this kind of wraps it up if you have any other uh phone privacy phone stores comment in the
